USD Announces Fall Preseason Schedule

We are excited to announce a return to rugby this fall!

Director of Rugby Kevin Eaton: “After so long away from the game we are as a program itching to get back onto the field. We have an outstanding group of returning players who will be bolstered by a new class of recruits and walk ons. The scrimmages against SDSU at the start of the semester will be a great way to get young players a lot of game experience. We will expect a strong test from our alumni in what is sure to be a great day of rugby and brotherhood on October 16th. November will allow us the opportunity to repeat as city champions, and I have no doubt our local rivals will be up for the challenge. The stretch to end the semester is exactly what we want out of a preseason. Taking on the reigning small college national champions and then two D1A programs will be a great test for us. We are excited for the challenges that await us this semester. This 15s schedule will be supplemented with a 7s season that will allow our program to continue to demonstrate our skill in all facets of the game.”

Our 15s conference season is projected to run from Feb 2022- April 2022
