USD adds Brett Thompson to coaching staff

We are very pleased to announce the official hiring of Brett Thompson to our coaching staff. USA Eagle #454, Thompson brings a wealth of experience in his role as backs/defense coach. Thompson has competed for the USA Sevens in over 30 tournaments and two world cups and represented the U.S.A 15s team at the 2015 rugby world cup.

We have brought him on previously for guest coaching sessions, and he provided a wealth of knowledge in those sessions. To bring a player and coach of his caliber to our team will continue to allow us to grow as a program. We want to be well known as a program the develops high level rugby talent, and Brett is a key part of what we want to do moving forward”

Thompson will assist head coach Charlie Purdon in coaching the USD Rugby back line, as well as coach the team’s defensive structure.
